A little about me

I am a wife and a mother. That is all I ever wanted to be. I love my life. I love waking up each day to a loving husband and having the privilege to stay home with our baby girl. Yes, at times they both drive me crazy, but I wouldn't trade one day.

In all my free time....I enjoy scrapbooking, camping, reading historical romances, watching movies, taking pictures and organizing. I would not call myself organized, but I still enjoy doing it anyway. I like cleaning out cabinets and closets and things like that. I also like writing and have written 3 children's books that sit here at my home where no one can read them. It is a dream of mine to one day be a published author. I just have to make myself start that process.

I am obsessive. The first step is admitting it. I am always improving, but in some areas I am comfortable with my obsessiveness and some I drive my own self crazy. I never choose the first item when I am shopping I always reach back to the second or third. I inspect items carefully for defects and make sure I choose the perfect one. I do not like people to touch Mckenzee in Wal-mart...you hear that everyone? If you see us in Wal-mart don't touch! I especially don't like people touching her hands when we are anywhere in public. I use a shopping cart cover. I use a placemat at restaurants. When we went for her first pictures I lysoled the room first and only set her on blankets from home. I am very very careful around raw meat and wash my hands over and over. I know that I am crazy. I hear these things and they sound crazy to me too, but that is me.

I am a retired kindergarten teacher. I love children. Children are fascinating little people that will change our world.

That is all I can think of. I am enjoying writing these blogs. Connie you were right!

Anjee,

Thank you so much for sending me the link to your blog. I think I cried on almost every one! I have always looked up to you and this is just a reminder to me as to why. You and your family are so amazing and I pray that I will be as lucky! You have a wonderful husband! Remember when I used to have a crush on him when I was little and I would sit on his lap upstairs at Grandpa's? haha :-) You continue to inspire to be a better person and you'll always be my "best cousin" I love you!
