Home Makeover Series: Busting Up Tile

After almost 20 hours of hard man labor Chris got the tile up. We learned an important lesson about busting up tile....pay someone else to do it. Whatever it costs it is worth it. If you are working on your home and want to enlist the help of your friends we (mostly Chris) will help you: paint, tear out carpet, lay wood, fix broken things, install new hardware, install storm doors and ceiling fans, build decks and other things, and assemble furniture. We will NOT help you bust up tile. We will instead, as your friends, contribute to your "pay someone else to do it fund" in lieu of our time.

You'll notice in the pictures below that we also painted the entryway.

Home Makeover Series: Water Filter

We now have a reverse osmosis water filter installed under our sink. It filter particles almost 100,000 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair. It also reduces Arsenic, Chromium, Sodium, Lead, Cysts, Chlorine, nitrates and a bunch of other things I can't remember. This is a home improvement item that Chris and I felt was very importnant for the health of our family and it is a worry I can cross off my crazy list. Now, I am not speaking from experience here, because my Dad and Chris did all the work, but this thing was a real buttface to install. It is huge and takes up most of the underneath of my sink, as you can see.
