Riley 6 Months
This one was my favorite
I love this. He is holding Daddy's hands and looking at Mommy.
looking at Daddy
This is our ducky we brought from home. In case anyone was grossed out here.
Note: all of these images are the ones I swiped off the website. We always have to have them add contrast to our pale skinned boy because he gets so washed out in the lights. :)

DORA the Explorer LIVE!
Chris and I had been looking forward to taking Mckenzee to Dora live for a long time. We did a good job keeping it a secret too and didn't tell her until the night before. She was so excited. We bought her a Dora shirt and she wore her Diego shoes. We dropped off Riley and went to eat mexican food together before the show and then headed out to Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie. The ticket takers handed all the kids a star on the way in to use during the show. It was a great performance and we all enjoyed it. They did a great job keeping it interactive and Mckenzee enjoyed dancing in the aisle. When it was time for her to choose a souvenier during intermission we asked her which one she wanted and she said Dora Boots so her sweet Daddy bought both. She had a good time making them dance during the second half of the show. Her smiles were worth every penny of this expensive evening.

Riley's Dedication
Riley's was dedicated at First Baptist Church of Saginaw by Dr. Danny Howe on July 5, 2009. This is the little suit he wore. He was such a good boy. We are so proud of him.
4th of July!
We spent the 4th at my parents house just like always. The show was awesome. Their neighbors like to spend way too much on fireworks and that's good for us. Sara and Amanda and Micah of course gave us some nice upclose fireworks. We ate hot dogs and my mom made homemade ice cream which I got to eat this year! Last year I was pregnant on the 4th and it has raw eggs. We got Mckenzee's dress the day before and I was so in love with it and Chris was too. I had passed it up once before, but when we went into Children's Place we saw it on the sale rack. Chris asked if that was the dress I was telling him about and I said yes. He said it was so cute and we were getting it. Mckenzee and I painted our toenails red with sparkles that morning and then Daddy painted her fingernails to match. She loves fireworks and was so excited all day. Riley enjoyed the fireworks too. I was surprised. He wore earplugs and the sound didn't bother him at all. He just looked around.

Train Ride
This was the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. It was such a cute old train. We boarded in the Stockyards and did the Trinity River Run. We had a good time, although I do not recommend this as a summertime activity and after you've done any train ride in Colorado the view is lacking, but Mckenzee loved it and Riley was good so it was worth it.
