Some Christmas Tips from me

1. amazon.com

2. I store my Christmas books with my Christmas decorations. It is fun to unpack and revisit them and keeps them special

3. Do not engage in assembly on Christmas Eve. Hofstadter's Law: any task you're planning to complete will always take longer than expected - even when Hofstadter's law is taken into account. You will be up all night and then your kids will wake you up at the buttcrack of dawn and you will be sorry.

4. Make sure your house is clean by the 23rd so you can enjoy Christmas Eve.

5. For toys that are held hostage by millions of plastic twist ties and thread and other plastic contraptions that try their best to keep the toy in the package:    Remove all said toy hostage holding equipment and then put the toy back in it's box and wrap it. This will save you a good 10 minutes per toy on Christmas morning when your kids are dancing with ants in their pants to have their new toy.

6. Charge your camera and video camera on Christmas Eve morning and make sure you have plenty of space.

7. Don't forget your pet's stocking

8. Have a goal to complete your shopping by the 20th, at the latest.

9. DO NOT GO TO WALMART ON CHRISTMAS EVE!! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO WALMART ON CHRISTMAS EVE!

10. When you decide on something you want...google and google and google some more. You can almost always find it cheaper if you keep looking.

11. Remember that Christmas is Jesus' birthday  :)

Oh, and wrap your presents ahead of time so you can enjoy it and so that they don't look like BUTT b/c you are so rushed.
