Yesterday, we were so excited about going to Sea World that we showed her pictures and videos of Shamu on the computer and asked her if she wanted to go see the whale. She really likes whales and she was pumped. So today, when we asked her if she wanted to go to the pumpkin patch she said, "no, whale." The pumpkin patch is not all that great when you're 2 and your parents just told you they were taking you to Sea World. There are no whales there.
So, things went about like last year at the pumpkin patch. My sour faced baby girl was not interested in smiling for Mommy even once and Daddy kind of moped about and was all too eager to leave when I asked if he was ready. She did not want to get pushed on the tractor, she refused to choose a pumpkin to take home, Daddy didn't want her to get her face painted, she didn't even want a new pumpkin book signed by the author that was there. She chose a rock to bring home and that was that. Well, she chose about 5 rocks and we made her pick one.
When we got in the car she was so happy to be back in her carseat and she asked for the camera to see the "pichas", which she proceeded to hold to her face and say, "Mile at me." "Mile Momma." "Mile Da-ee." Momma did not want to smile. Next year, when Riley and I go to the pumpkin patch with Aunt Sara, we will consider inviting Mckenzee. Daddy has been released of all pumpkin patch duties. Here our some of our BEST pictures.

I'm sorry your pumpkin patch day wasn't fun for everyone. Keep trying:) What pumpkin patch did you go to?
Even her grumpy face is adorable!
We went to the one in Grapevine on Hall Johnson Road. I don't know its name or if it had one. It was cute for little ones and there was no entrance fee. I should've just taken her to the one in Saginaw though for all it was worth to her.
In all fairness, Chris attempted to be a good sport. He went in the house with her and tried to push her on the tractor and he didn't huff about having to go, but I knew he wasn't interested. Strange for him. He usually wants to be a part of every single event. Now we know. Aunt Sara is a huge pumpkin lover and she is now designated as pumpkin patch go-er. If Mckenzee still isn't interested after next year though, I am giving up on her and letting her stay home with Daddy. Which he said was fine with him because the football games will be on and she likes to watch them too.
My favorite one is where she is "moping" out of the hay maze...CLASSIC! Maybe Riley will be a pumpkin lover! :)
I know! I love that one too. She looks like, "Why did y'all even bring me here?"
Aunt Sara would love to go to the pumpkin patch! I'll make Kenz love pumpkins by this time next year. :)
I'm sorry your pumpkin patch dreams were smashed to bits! The pictures are quite funny, though. It will be something to laugh at for years to come.
Sometimes I post really GOOD pictures of the girls but if I were to show you the event that was photographed on video it would be like a completely different event in which they in fact, HATED what we were doing.
I also loved the one of her moping out of the maze. That is so cute and you can tell she was just exhausted at the fact of being there. Ha!!
