Two Bratty Brats :)

Today we went to a Pumpkin Patch. It was very last minute. We, I mean I, realized that this would be our last weekend to be able to go to one because we are going out of town next weekend. Well, Chris and Kenzee had a bad attitude about the whole event. Chris because he doesn't really like the pumpkin patch, which was news to me, and Kenzee...that could've been our fault.

Yesterday, we were so excited about going to Sea World that we showed her pictures and videos of Shamu on the computer and asked her if she wanted to go see the whale. She really likes whales and she was pumped. So today, when we asked her if she wanted to go to the pumpkin patch she said, "no, whale." The pumpkin patch is not all that great when you're 2 and your parents just told you they were taking you to Sea World. There are no whales there.

So, things went about like last year at the pumpkin patch. My sour faced baby girl was not interested in smiling for Mommy even once and Daddy kind of moped about and was all too eager to leave when I asked if he was ready. She did not want to get pushed on the tractor, she refused to choose a pumpkin to take home, Daddy didn't want her to get her face painted, she didn't even want a new pumpkin book signed by the author that was there. She chose a rock to bring home and that was that. Well, she chose about 5 rocks and we made her pick one.

When we got in the car she was so happy to be back in her carseat and she asked for the camera to see the "pichas", which she proceeded to hold to her face and say, "Mile at me." "Mile Momma." "Mile Da-ee." Momma did not want to smile. Next year, when Riley and I go to the pumpkin patch with Aunt Sara, we will consider inviting Mckenzee. Daddy has been released of all pumpkin patch duties. Here our some of our BEST pictures.

Some Products I Love

Here is my first product I am loving right now. This has so helped Mckenzee stay in her bed and get to sleep. We only bring it out at night. She doesn't get to play with it. It is a special bedtime thing and she calls it her "stars." She has not gotten out of bed since we got it. She usually will call for us one time and Chris goes in there and says some magic words and we don't hear another peep out of her. The turtle projects stars and the moon on the ceiling and walls. It looks so cool in her room at night. Below I pasted its info from the website. They also have a sea turtle and a ladybug. This would still be super cool even if you don't have kids for a grown up room....seriously.

Twilight Turtles shell illuminates like a nightlight to help ease children's fear of the dark. This interactive and educational toy includes eight actual constellation embedded in the star pattern. Parents can sit with their children and identify these major constellations using the wonderfully illustrated Twilight Turtle Star Guide. Twilight Turtle helps make bedtime fun for children of all ages.

Next, the Airwick Freshmatic Ultra. Our kitchen trashcan is stinky. We keep it just inside the laundry room, but it makes my laundry room stink and that should be a very nice smelling place. So, I broke down and bought one of these things and I am very happy with it. It sits on my shelf right above the trashcan. I didn't want to spend the money on it, but I didn't want a plug in because those make me nervous that they will catch on fire and we keep our dog in the laundry room when we are gone.

The thing sprays by itself every 9, 18, or 36 minutes and lasts for 2 months on the longest setting. It comes with batteries. The refill cans are $6.

The Britax Boulevard

I am crazy about this carseat. We have had Mckenzee in it for a year now. It can stay rear facing up to 33 pounds and forward facing to 65 pounds so she will probably never need another one...that is if she runs away from home because her mother will probably be picking her up from junior high and making her wear a 5 point harness home.

It is so sturdy and installs so tight. It is equipped with LATCH. It has True Side Impact Protection with EPS foam. When she falls asleep in it her head doesn't hang because she can rest it on the head wing thing. The straps do not get all twisty and tangly. I have washed it once in the washing machine and it wasn't so bad. The main part is just a big stretchy thing and comes off in one piece. It is very comfy and easy to adjust and gets amazing reviews. It does take up a lot of space, but I could still fit three of them side by side in an SUV.

The Flipper Toothbrush Holder

So cool! This sticks to your bathrrom mirror. This little puppy's arms open up to hold your child's toothbrush. You can open it with one finger and close it just by pushing the tootbrush in it. The mouth part of the toothbrush always stays germ free...especially from flushing potties by little ones that don't close the lid first. It has vents on the side so the toothbrush can dry. The have a hundred different kinds we just chose a puppy. They have adult ones too that I want to get for Chris and I.

Pumpkin Painter

My favorite thing about these pictures is her little pooched out lips. She pooches her lips out when she is really serious about something or really sleepy. She has her Daddy's lips, but she gets that pooching out thing from me.

Texas~OU Red River Rivalry

We are Longhorns fans at the Roberts. Today has been a very good day. First of all, my house is clean! Thanks to my mom keeping Kenzee on Thursday and Chris taking her to the mall yesterday I was able to get a lot done. This morning Kenzee and I went shoe shopping and got matching shoes and then we when we got back she was asleep for her nap and it was 5 minutes until kickoff. I made Chris a 7 layer dip and surprised him with a Dr. Pepper. See, this is a very special treat because I have given up caffeine for the baby and Chris has given up caffeine for me. I think it's harder for him and he has done so well, so I thought he needed a break. It is halftime right now and the Longhorns are only down by one point 21-20. Chris has been hootin' and hollerin' and I have the dog fixed up with her blanket in our closet because she gets so nervous. We are all wearing our burnt orange with cows on it as Kenzee says and we are enjoying this afternoon together.
Yeah!!! Texas pulled out the win 45 - 35 in a great game.

Anniversary Date

Our 6 year wedding anniversary was October 5th. On Saturday night the 4th we went out to celebrate. I didn't know where we were going, but Chris had made reservations for us at Melting Pot. When we arrived he gave our name and the hostess led us to our table. On the way I was thinking in my head that I hoped she would give us a booth in the back. Instead she turned down a little hallway that I didn't even notice and there were three booths there on one side with tall walls. There were rose petals on the table and a vase of pink roses that Chris had arranged to be there for me. I was surprised and impressed. I love getting flowers. He did a good job planning our date. Dinner was so good and very quiet and romantic. If you haven't been to Melting Pot it is a fondue place with 4 courses so dinner takes about 3 hours. It was nice to relax and be together. I'll tell our long dating story soon to go with this post.

I Did It!

You don't hear me cheering on this video because I was taping and didn't want my country voice blaring over the recording because then I probably wouldn't have posted it. I know she is showing off her whole self here...I hope that isn't against any blogger rules. She just cracks me up every time she goes. I love it! The only thing is, she always wants to dump it in the big potty herself and that has caused some big tee tee messes on the floor. We are trying to break her of that.

Sweet sleepy little ones!

Mckenzee has been giving us hugs and saying "much" lately. That means I love you so much. I heard her hugging her pillow one day and saying it to her pillow and I realized that's what she meant. I think it's so cute to see her showing love to her toys and baby dolls. She has been going on the potty and is super proud of herself and her Mommy and Daddy are proud of her too. I have to get a video of her saying "I did it!" It is so cute and funny. I know I talk a lot about her high maintenance personality, but she has so much sweetness in her too. I just have to love the difficult side of her just as much though, because she is really just like me. I had to pull the car over the other day to help her not hyperventilate over a piece of grass that was stuck to her shoe. Exasperated, I called her Daddy at work and told him that I pray she finds a sweet boy that will love her someday, to which he replied, "You mean the way I love you?" Yes, that's the way. Somedays I don't know how he puts up with me! :) I am so glad he is back from Israel and will help him blog about that soon. He has over 300 pictures.
