Blog Give Away Challenge!

It's time for another giveaway challenge and it starts right now. To enter the challenge you will have to actively be involved in saving our planet. You'll have to go above and beyond your norm. To enter you must do 5 things to help the Earth in some way. Two of the five things must be outside your home. Your everyday home recycling doesn't count, sorry. It's too easy. Drawing will be Saturday, October 3rd.

Some ideas:

• use reusable bags when you go shopping
• bring home any recyclables when you go out to eat (fast food restaurants paper bags your food comes in)
• walk your kids to school (if you are close enough to do so)
• pick up trash somewhere
• plant a tree
• take your lunch in reusable containers
• carpool
• combine your errands to one day
• time and shorten your showers
• turn off and unplug when you leave the house (your kids can do this)
• start a compost pile or contribute to someone elses
• Use cloth napkins
• Use old socks for cleaning with
• So many other things that I know you will think of......

There will be a drawing on Saturday, October 3rd for all who enter and the winner will get 2 reusable shopping bags from Whole Foods. They are big and strong and if they ever break Whole Foods will replace them for free. The winner will also get a Seventh Generation Tub and Tile Cleaner. I am super impressed with this product. It works great and smells great and the fumes won't make you high.
