Mother's Day

We had a fun Mother's Day! Mckenzee and I slept in while Chris got ready for church because he had to be at Sunday School. When we got up Mckenzee sat on her potty and tee-teed for the very first time! I had a feeling this would be it and we got it on video! It was so cute and she was very proud! Chris had made homemade biscuits before we got up and we had them with my mom's homemade organic strawberry preserves. yum!
When he got home we went to the park. That was what I wanted to do for Mother's Day. We were the only ones there and the weather was so nice. Macy went with us and thoroughly enjoyed herself. Mckenzee loved the slide and she loved running in the grass, but her very favorite part of the playground was the swing. She is not afraid of anything and she liked going fast and high. We had a good time with her and got some good pictures.
After that we went to eat at Quizno's and then came home and Kenzee girl had a nap. I went shopping by myself (that was nice) for a little bit. I had not yet got my mom a present and the clock was ticking. Chris was working diligently on finishing my present.
Before we left to go to my parents Mckenzee gave me a very special book titled "Why I Love my Momma" that her Daddy had made. It had pictures of her and of us together over the last 20 months and there was a cute little story to go along with it. She "signed" it in the back. It was perfect and so special.
We had hamburgers at my parents and played outside and petted the new rabbit and new baby chicks. Later we played games and it was a fun evening. My parents got me a gift card to Hobby Lobby. I think I may go spend it today.
I love being a mom!

How sweet. Chris is so artistic and thoughtful. What a wonderful and unforgettable Mothers Day gift. The picture you have of Kenzee at the top of your blog with the water is absolutly adorable. What a great camera shot.
